Fecal Matters is a documentary interviewing science researchers in the field of gut microbial studies and fecal microbial transplants. Interviews have been conducted with Dr. Ashish Atreja, MD, and Dr. Ari Grinspan, MD, Mt. Sinai gastroenterologists (NYC), Dr. Emma Allen-Vercoe, professor at Guelph University (Ontario, Canada) and microbial ecologist and creator of the “RePoopulate” synthetic gut microbiome, Dr. Mark Smith, Laura Burns and Dr. Zain Kassam of Open Biome, a stool bank for FMT research (Somerville, MA).
